Via Dave Winer's Morning Coffee Notes podcast comes news of Top 10 Sources - a site which adds an editorial layer to RSS feeds, picking out the top 10 sources of news on any topic:

At Top 10 Sources, we publish a daily "Top 10" site of the best newsfeeds on the Internet. Each day, our team of editors picks a topic. Then, we find the ten best sources on the Net on that topic that offer newsfeeds- whether they're blogs, mainstream media, or anybody else publishing great stuff online. We subscribe to their RSS feeds and present them to you in a fresh, new site using our aggregator technology.

This kind of thing makes me wonder why people insist on applying outdated newspaper-type models to this new medium of blogging. These guys need to head over to Umair Haque's blog and read up on Network Economics and Peer Production. To see how this knowledge could be applied, why not sign up for the Noodly Alpha - only a few weeks before we open the kimono!
