Silicon Beat reports that InsiderPages, the "Yellow pages written by friends", has raised $8.5 million in second round funding, bringing the total to $10 million. (Maybe one day these guys will figure out that user-generated content is free.) Nonetheless, I thought I'd hop over there and see what $10 million buys you these days. The blurb:
At InsiderPages.com people share reviews of local businesses and find great services they can trust. We now have over 500,000 customer reviews from across the U.S. and over one million people visit our site each month to get the Insider scoop on local businesses. We are also helping thousands of small businesses find new customers over the Internet. We’re a small company but we count some of the biggest names on the Web as partners including Yahoo and Google.
