30 Boxes, the online calendaring startup, just launched a new ajax start page called Webtop. The service allows you to add links to your favorite web services including Gmail, Flickr, Facebook, MySpace, Webshots, Meebo and your 30 Boxes calendar. The design is heavily influenced by Apple, and users can add their own background image.

The market for ajax homepages is a crowded one, and some startups are having trouble staying the course - Zoozio became Zimbio and completely changed its strategy, while Fold folded. The issue I see here is that users are unlikely to use Webtop if they're not already using 30 Boxes - if that's the case, it could severely limit the growth potential.
