Yet another browser extension that's launching at DEMO is Share2Me, which is in private beta until Thursday. This one wants to help you share media across MySpace, Facebook, IM and email.

When you're on Photobucket or ImageShack, for instance, and you see an interesting photo, hit the "Share2Me" button in your browser and check the boxes to share with your Facebook friends, your MySpace friends, your IM buddies or any combination. When you send media to social networking users, the message is sent through the messaging feature on those sites. It also works with other media like YouTube videos, and you can check another box to post that media to your MySpace page.

As I mentioned when reviewing Minggl and Browster, I'm generally skeptical about getting MySpacers to download software, but Share2Me has one positive aspect: provided every message includes a "shared by Share2Me" tagline, it could have a strong viral element. One ominous sign, however, is that it only works with Firefox right now: it doesn't take a genius to realize that more than 90% of the target market is on Internet Explorer.

In short: I'm more optimistic about this one than other toolbars and plugins - the ability to quickly embed media into your profile is particularly appealing.
