We've seen many attempts to bring all your social networking accounts together, and every time I've tried to argue that there isn't much mainstream demand yet. That said, a super slick implementation that blows away the competition might just win me over.

SocialURL, which just appeared on the scene this weekend, is perhaps one of the strongest entrants in this market. It allows you to add your usernames from Bebo, MySpace, Piczo, hi5, Cyworld, LinkedIn, Xuqa and the rest, plus your IM names. You can also create photo albums, write sticky notes and build a network of friends. On this profile, for instance, you can see all the user's profile URLs, her YouTube videos and the photos she has uploaded (not pulled from her existing social networks, alas). The media on the site can also be embedded elsewhere.

SocialURL may be an incomplete execution of the idea: it isn't aggregating all your social media, and you get the sense that it would need to automatically add all your friends from those networks to be really useful. This type of scraping would likely be against the terms of those sites, but you can see how it might work in theory: ask for the user's password to those sites and automatically invite all their friends from around the web. We'll probably need APIs for every social site to make such an aggregator take off in a big way, but services like SocialURL point the way. Of all the social aggregators that could break out, I think this one is the most likely to do so.
