Tomorrow, Diversion Media will announce a deal with web video provider Joost to launch two Diversion Media channels through the service in April. The channels will include Travelistic, a video channel for travelers, and Snowvision, a snowboard video channel - both of which have been covered on Mashable before.

Joost, as every tech journalist knows, is an online television provider that was founded by the creators of Skype. Their extensive private beta has been ongoing for some time now, and Joost, formerly known as the Venice Project, has remained in the forefront of the press buzz for their continued updates and constant anticipation for their product.

Diversion Media, meanwhile, is a publisher of broadband video channels based in New York, with a focus on leisure and entertainment content. They were founded in 2004 by former MTVi and SonicNet CEO Nicholas Butterworth. Diversion's technology team is led by former iFilm executive Tatum Lade, and we gave cautiously positive reviews to both their properties launched so far. Diversion Media promotes both professionally produced content as well as user-generated content, which makes it a solid fit for what Joost is calling its "global media distribution platform".
