Editors Note: Updated this one for accuracy. The Kuler Mac OSX widget is available today, while the Apollo version was demoed at the CS3 launch event. A shot of the Dashboard widget is below, while the Apollo version can be seen here.

Kuler may very well be among the first Apollo-based services created by Adobe itself.

Kuler is an application that lets you create your own color schemes based on a multi-faceted set of guidelines. Every aspect of a Kuler creation is customizable, and the color schemes can be used for web publishers, artists, event planners, and designers. The Kuler widget, launched for the Mac OSX Dashboard today, will grant you community interactivity (see the highest-ranked color scheme). A demo at the CS3 launch event also showed a version the app that uses Apollo, although we don't have a download link for the .air file.

The first outing of the Apollo version is pretty interesting, and Adobe is hoping to get Apollo used in as many ways possible across the board. The use of Apollo for desktop widgets could have huge ramifications for the future of web interaction and personal web identities.
