Slide-Wordpress - Online slideshow tool Slide has added support for Wordpress today. Once you've finished creating your show, click the "Wordpress" option and insert the slideshow id into your post between square brackets. For self-hosted Wordpress, just use the normal codes.

Google-DoubleClick - Google is in the bidding for the ad network DoubleClick, says the WSJ. Bidding is already above $2 billion, so if Google emerges triumphant, it'll be their biggest acquisition ever. I can't help but back Google on this one - even though having one dominant player is frequently bad for competition, you can be sure that Google will realize the best returns for content creators, and do so within the familiar AdSense structure.

ScanScout - Look out for the launch of ScanScout, the so-called "Adsense for video". The company has just raised $2M from angel investors led by Ron Conway, and serves up ads related to the content of video clips. Whoever cracks this nut is going to be reap massive returns - it could be Google, BrightRoll or any of the smaller players. (via)
