Another move towards radical transparency: British PM Tony Blair launched a YouTube channel this week, which he says will allow the Labour Party to talk directly to the public, rather than being filtered by the media. Blair's intro clip (below) has been viewed more than 2000 times and received more than 50 comments.

But it's unlikely that this world of openness and transparency will be any kind of utopia: in fact, now that Blair haters can insult him directly, politics is probably going to get even more messy. Can you imagine, for instance, what would happen if Bush started his own channel?

We look forward to the day when all public discourse is reduced to a brawl between 13 year olds in the YouTube comments section, and election results are determined by how many stars your video receives. ;)
