Presumably unrelated to Viacom's more controversial moves on the web recently (although it would be ironic if they struck a deal with Google while simultaneously suing them) - Viacom announced today that it has chosen Yahoo to provide ads across its properties.
In a multi-year deal, Yahoo becomes the exclusive provider of sponsored search and contextual ads to all of Viacom's 33 broadband sites, which include MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. The deal could also be expanded to 140 additional Viacom sites.
