TripWiser is a social travel planning site that has recently launched.
TripWiser lets you create a trip and add all sorts of information with icons, such as images, things to do, accommodations and restaurants. In this way it's similar to a travel blog, but the format is laid out in such a way that provides the pertinent information you'd need when considering a new place to go, or preparing to travel. Similar to TripTie, plans can be broken down by day, offering a suggested schedule for traveling in that area. You can save someone else's trip, or just certain aspects of that trip, and apply it to your own plans.
TripWiser has some great sharing features, as you can add a bookmark link to any trip for additional resources. They could stand to offer a few more outside resources though, such as a flight or hotel search. Perhaps incorporating social traveling tools such as TripHub could round out their social offerings. Another tip they could take from TripTie is a bookmarking tool, enabling users to collect items from the web to be added to their TripWiser plans. This makes trip planning much easier. Others in this space include TripMates and Matador.
