FoxyTunes, the Firefox music browser add-on, now lets you add Twitter updates directly from the FoxyTunes player.

The FoxyTunes player works from your browser, and lets you access nearly every media player available to play your songs and video. You can also search and access the FoxyPlanet artists pages from the browser extension as well. Now, with just one click, you can update your Twitter account to show what you're listening to with FoxyPlanet's TwittyTunes. You have the option of updating your Twitter account with what you're listening to, or watching. Your Twitter page will link back to the FoxyPlanet artist page for that song. If that particular song isn't from FoxyPlanet, the link on your Twitter page will pull up a FoxyPlanet search results page for that artist or song.

With everyone jumping on the Twitter bandwagon, I think we're reaching a new level of viral with TwittyTunes. It's easier than ever to update your Twitter account with a link (a full link, not a tiny URL) that directs back to your content. Now when the music plays directly from your Twitter account as well, we'll really be cookin' with gas. Until then, it's a great utilization of Twitter by FoxyPlanet, and it shows one of the many, many options that Twitter is opening up in our communication world. Other companies to recently incorporate Twitter into their service include Menuism and FeedBlitz.
