HubPages, the online publishing community, is rolling out a new site design and several new features today.

Some of their new features and redesign include font and layout improvements, a consistent and clean color scheme, intuitive icons for better authoring process, forums, image slide show support and drag-and-drop image reordering, and several bookmarking services such as Digg, del.icio.us, StumbleUpon and Simpy. HubPages is also adding a grouping tool, allowing the clustering of similar Hubs for easy reader navigation and better search engine exposure, tutorials for building traffic, and increased visibility for top users, among other things.

HubPages biggest points of differentiation is their ability to help you earn revenue, optimize your page's ad placement and help you bring in traffic. It's good that several of their improvements circle around these points in order to bring more value to their users. Their new feature set not only increases value for existing users but entices new customers as well. HubPages is sticking to their core competencies with all of their new features, and building on the existing functionality of their service.

Others in the online publishing realm include Gather and Squidoo.
