Outbrain, a free service for rating and delivering content to site publishers, has received a round of funding from LGiLab, GlenRock, Sigma PCM and private investors, for an undisclosed amount.

Outbrain lets you add inline, 5-star ratings to your blog entries, providing you with an interactive way to see what your readers do and don't like on your site. Outbrain also offers a blogroll widget that will provide links to quality blog articles based on their user ratings. While the service hasn't been officially launched, investors LGiLab hint at a "secret sauce" business model that looked intruigingly promising, and is gearing up for some significant changes.

Outbrain has some pretty experienced people on their team, including its founder Yaron Galai, who co-founded Quigo, and Ori Lahav who was the head of research and development at Shopping.com. Outbrain has indicated that their funding will go towards building up their team.
