Pixsy, the media search platform, announces today its partnership with iStockphoto, a stock imagery and video site.
Pixsy will now power video and image search for iStock using its Proprietary Media Search Platform, indexing thumbnails of iStock's media collection. iStock's library will be available through Pixsy, where customers can search for desired media. iStock items can be purchased directly from iStock. Pixsy has also chosen iStock as one of its top ten content providers inside Pixsy Power, which is a suite of media search tools and widgets for site publishers looking to add unique and premium content to their web pages. The deal of course broadens distribution channels for iStock, and increases the searchable library of Pixsy, and will boost traffic for both companies.
