Yahoo's Panama Ad Search Platform, which was released in the U.S. last October, has been released in the U.K. and is now live.

Testing for Panama has been going on for months, trying out new vertical placements for ad words and figuring out how to best optimize search for business purposes. The new Panama release has some new features that should be great for businesses, including a performance overview with graphs and a customized “watch” list of “top” campaigns, having ads go live within minutes of submission as opposed to 3-5 business days, the ability to test ad campaigns in order to determine which wording works best, more narrow distribution regions, the ability to schedule campaigns by date, and contextual relevancy determined by ad text and landing page text.

With advertising options increasing and ever improving, GYM is constantly tweaking and acquiring in order to stay on top of the advertising game. Google's gadgets seem to have the potential for really changing the direction of online marketing for small business. Yahoo's new features for Panama seem best suited for further customization of ad campaigns.
