For those that feel too old for MySpace or Facebook comes VOIS.com (pronounced “voice”), which bills itself as “a social networking community for users age 30 to 50” in a press release issued yesterday. However, after touring around VOIS.com, there do not appear to be many unique features designed for the middle-aged set. The site instead offers blogs, profiles, and groups, modeled very much after MySpace’s look and feel.

Compared to Eons, which targets baby boomers and offers content in areas like travel and finance, VOIS.com does not offer much beyond the status quo at this point.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this company is that its shares are already publicly traded, under the ticker symbol VOIS.OB. For those of you not familiar with Wall Street jargon, a “.OB” after a ticker symbol means the stock is traded “over the counter.” In other words, they do not meet the regulatory requirements for trading on the NYSE or NASDAQ (aka – be careful!).
