Userplane, the IM and chat service that was acquired by AOL, has announced today that a new revenue-sharing platform is available for anyone developing applications for the Facebook platform. Userplane Money will enable developers to make money with widgets they design for Facebook.

In plain English: developers can use Userplane Apps for Facebook (for free) and earn rev-share. They can also use the Userplane Money rev-share program for any application on Facebook. Chizzat, for instance, is a repackaged version of Userplane Webchat.

Userplane generates the developers money by showing ads in its players. Userplane will then split the proceeds with the participating publishers. After generating $25, the minimum payment, the publisher can request their revenue through PayPal. This service is certain to be a hit among Facebook developers who wish to help fill their wallets for their services.
