Looks like the Fox Interactive-Photobucket deal is just about good to go, as the Federal Trade Commission has given the green light. The acquisition, which is touting a price tag of $250 million, was rumored earlier this year, and has been the topic of much discussion, not only for its own sake, but for the subsequent affect on widget creators, the MySpace ecosystem, and the giant social network's plans for the future.

What's in store for the integration of Photobucket? That's still up in the air, considering the ongoing competition between MySpace and YouTube for user-generated content, the new presence of the Facebook Platform, and News Corp's own impending YouTube Killer, which is being developed in a partnership with NBC Universal. But it is expected that both Fox Interactive and its own company MySpace will be closely involved with the Photobucket deal.
