Dailymotion will today launch a US-localized version of its popular video sharing site, together with MotionMaker, a program for rewarding the most important contributors to the Dailymotion community. To make sure it all goes well, they've recruited executives from MTV UK as well as TimeWarner to lead the international and US versions of the site.
As far as monetization goes, Dailymotion will introduce banners and contextual in-video advertising, and revenue will be shared with media companies and individual content creators.
