Jelsoft Enterprises, parent company of vBulletin, has been acquired by Internet Brands, Inc. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
vBulletin, the provider of online messaging tools, will now have access to the resources of Internet Brands, which owns a large network of e-commerce sites that sell big ticket items, such as automobiles and homes. Looks like vBulletin will be used for communication purposes across Internet Brands' network of websites, which could all stand to benefit from more user communication tools, including features such as blogs. With vBulletin's latest release of a new suite of tools, the timing seemed right for its acquisition.
