Verizon and Veoh have launched a channel on the Verizon Wireless V Cast service, featuring Veoh's content on the mobile network.

Veoh's Internet television programming is now available through your mobile network, and V Cast users can access Veoh's "Best of.." video collection, which includes a select group of animation, comedy, entertainment, drama and webisode clips. These have been chosen especially for V Cast and its mobile audience, and is updated frequently. Verizon customers can access this V Cast service on a per-use basis for $3.00 for a 24 hour time period, or with a monthly subscription of $15.00 per month, which includes unlimited basic video (that means Veoh, too!).

In a partnership similar to that seen with Apple and YouTube, Veoh is expanding its distribution network and becoming a standard within the V Cast entertainment options. This deal also offers Verizon an extended platform on which to advertise, which is an important aspect of the partnership as well, especially considering Veoh's recent milestone of reaching 14 million users.

Is this another sign of the spurred development to be expected in the mobile industry as a direct result of the iPhone? Interpret's study indicate an increase in the interest surrounding mobile video content, and Verizon is addressing this interest head on.
