BlinkCart is an online shopping cart tool that works with existing blogging tools and social networks.

The service allows you to add particular items to your own website, blog or social networking profile. An "add this to cart" button will show beneath the item, and site visitors can purchase products from you directly through this tool. With BlinkCart you can accept multiple payment methods, including PayPal, or offer product-specific discounts, have shipping calculated for customers, and manage your online orders and inventory. The service will cost you between $12 and $59 per month.

This service has found a way to become integrated with existing networks. With its MySpace integration, it circumvents certain aspects of the discussions currently taking place between the social network and PayPal, which would offer users a way to turn their profiles into e-commerce without the use of a third party widget, such as Flogd or Nimbit. This makes us wonder whether MySpace would block a service like BlinkCart, or be more accepting, considering the popularity of Facebook's open platform.
