Kyte, the site that lets you create your own broadcast Internet channel, has added some new features to its core functionality, and has also launched a Facebook application.

Users can now chat live through their webcam or camera phone, using live video, audio and text. While there was already an existing live chat function for web users, this cross-device approach lets broadcasters and viewers interact on a broader level. This multimedia chat lets you use live video, audio and text from both your computer and your cell phone, and access this multimedia on both devices as well.

Kyte has launched a Facebook application as well, which displays a user's most recent shows on their profile. You can also see others' Kyte channels, and view the most popular videos from the Kyte Thermometer. Other self-broadcasting sites that have enabled a multimedia live chat option include blogTV and Mogulus.
