Last.fm has launched a new Facebook application, called What I'm Listening To.

You'll remember that Last.fm was one of the first companies to create a Facebook application, launching not to long after Facebook's announcement of the open platform at the f8 Event. The new application, What I'm Listening To, is an improved and upgraded version of the initial application.

You can now show your recently played music on your profile without having to click on the application first. An extension to the Last.fm system will also refresh your Facebook profile whenever you scrobble a track, meaning that your Facebook profile will always be up to date with what you're doing on Last.fm. You can also add a note or limerick to the songs on your profile, which adds a bit more personalized character to the application. This last feature is exclusive to Last.fm's Facebook application.
