Taptap, the mobile and web-based contest community, has released its version of its service that's been optimized for use on the iPhone. The site only recently launched last month with $2.5 million in venture capital.
Being a media-centric site, browsing capabilities and rapid voting and viewing of photos has been a key focus for the iPhone version of taptap. Direct upload options have been added to this version, enabling users to take photos with their iPhone and submit them straight to taptap to participate in contests. Messaging and site participation has been enhanced for use on the iPhone, taking the touch screen keyboard into consideration as well.
