Update: The National Music Publishers Association has joined the class action suit along with Tur, joining a growing list of parties angered by YouTube's copyright policies.

--

Surprise, surprise. Robert Tur has joined the class action lawsuit against YouTube. What took him so long?

The class action lawsuit initiated by England's Premier Soccer League earlier this year, and has gained a lot of supporters since then. Several other media companies have joined the suite since then, all concerned with the copyright issues that circle the lawsuit. Tur has gotten some support himself, from both Viacom and NBC, which offered to "consult" him in his own lawsuit against the video-sharing site. That lawsuit is now being withdrawn to focus on the class action.

Tur is mad at Apple and AT&T as well, as YouTube clips (including his) are being converted for viewing pleasure on the iPhone.
