Yahoo, going through a rough patch, is leaving all possibilities on the table. Including, it seems, a deal with its arch-enemy. Reports are that Yahoo isn't ruling out the possibility of offloading its paid search business to Google.
Executives from the two companies meet regularly, says Kara Swisher at the Wall Street Journal's AllThingsD blog, despite the widely held belief that their rivalry would stand in the way, even if it was the rational thing to do. As TechDirt points out, however, it wasn't too long ago that Google powered Yahoo's search: too late, Yahoo realized the true value of search engines and paid search.
