AdMob Launching Unit Just for iPhone Campaigns

AdMob, the mobile advertising network, has launched a new advertising unit for brands to reach those specifically with an iPhone, while taking advantage of the iPhone's capabilities.

From mapping technology to location-based advertisers, AdMob's new iPhone unit recognizes iPhone users and offers ads that have been created for the phone. This incorporates user behavior and demographics. Also incorporated into these ad distribution options are what you typically see as highly visited sites on a web browser, such as those regarding weather, entertainment, news, games and sports.

What we're seeing here is mobile marketing, with the iPhone, looking more like online advertising distribution. With more mobile browsing capabilities and access through the Safari browser, we'll be sure to see more of these ad distribution tactics employed when it comes to the iPhone. Fifteen site publishers have already signed up to participate in AdMob's new iPhone-specific advertising unit.
