MindMeister, the mind-mapping tool that launched earlier this year, has released its API.
As a developer for web and desktop applications, you'll be able to access and modify public and private mind maps on MindMeister. Use it for mashups, or your own mind-mapping application for yourself or others. MindMeister has created two mashups already; one to see YouTube videos that come from a central idea, and another for New York Times mind maps. I tend to like the mind-maps that are tied in with media search, so it will be interesting to see if anything of this sort comes out of the developers community. If you create a MindMeister mashup, be sure to let us know (and MindMeister too!) ;)
