PhotoWorks Adds Storefronts for Users to Sell Work

PhotoWorks, the photo sharing site, has added storefronts to its service, letting you sell your images to site visitors.

The storefront works with a regular shopping cart model. For each user that has a storefront, you can browse through the images and products that they have placed for sale, and purchase the ones you'd like. For photo books in the storefronts, you can flip through the pages to see what's inside. It looks as though you can currently only sell photo books in the storefront feature.

With the other products and services available through PhotoWorks, this is a good opportunity for them to be integrated into a user-generated commerce solution. You could already create photo books and other items such as puzzles, keychains, mugs, etc. with your PhotoWorks account, so the PhotoWorks Storefront would be a great place for users to sell these items in order to earn some extra cash. This is similar to CafePress, but is wrapped up in a photo storage and sharing community.
