German blog Zweinull.cc (translation) let us know about the launch of Doktus in the past few days, a German clone of the Scribd document sharing site. Right down to the layout, it's a fairly good copy of the original, albeit lacking in features and a little less usable.
More interestingly, Zweinnull.cc suspects the site may be backed by the Samwer brothers, who also backed Studivz (successful German Facebook clone), myvideo.de (German YouTube clone), Frazr (German Twitter clone) and many more.
