Ever wondered what people in other parts of the world find interesting to read? Popurls.tv, a new launch by the news aggregator PopURLs, is now offering a Google Maps mashup that gives you a real-time look at the location of people clicking on PopURLs stories, and what stories they're clicking.

The site states this is a very early-beta, and it shows. While it works, it's very quick to change locales, and zooming in is a catch-22 as it will flip to the next story and leave you in a zoomed in view making it difficult to tell where you are.

An interesting distraction, but they will need to add a few new tweaks (like a way to pause the action) to make it truly usable.
