Jaxtr has raised $10 million in a Series A round of funding. The round was led by August Capital, with the Mayfield Fund, Draper Richards, Draper Fisher Jurveston and Mangrove Capital participating in the round of funding as well.
Along with this funding announcement, Jaxtr also reports that it's registered user base has doubled in the past month, reaching over 1 million users today. The company attributes its extreme growth to the appeal its service has with the 20-something demographic, which is known for heavy cell-phone usage. The integration options for incorporating Jaxtr into your existing social networks didn't hurt its growth factor either.
