MySpace has officially launched its Music Tour, which is a series of concert events produced by and branded for MySpace.
The tour is presented by Extreme Style by VO5, and kicks off next month, on October 16. The concert will be held in Seattle, and will headlines Hellogoodbye and Say Anything. Other participating bands will include MySpace Records artist Polysics and others that have yet to be announced.
The tour will have more than 30 shows across the nation, through November 2007. This is of course another way for MySpace to extend its online platform for the promotion of music into the real world. There will be a dedicated group on MySpace for keeping track of tour information and ticket sales. Users will also be able to see exclusive content from blogs presented by bands as they're on tour, photo galleries, and sweepstakes for users to win a chance to go backstage to meet the bands.
