Seekler to Offer Community-Driven Reviews Site

It's already been quite a week for online search, and Seekler is the latest to tout their upcoming service for social search, as a community driven review site. The site has not been launched yet, and the alpha version of Seekler is being kept under tight wraps.

Considering itself a Wikipedia for opinions, Seekler aims to help you find what you're looking for based on a series of interactions you as a user have with the community and your search query. Based on user contributions, Seekler will offer up an initial list of results for your search. From there, you can filter your results down based on a large set of variables as determined by the larger user base.

Seekler gives the example of looking up "best movies" and filtering down to those that have been tagged with "Steven Spielberg" and further narrow your search by viewing only those results that are tagged with "sci-fi." You can of course add your own tags along the way. A favorites list function has also been incorporated into the Seekler service, enabling you to offer your own mini resource within the Seekler network. Top 10 and favorites lists are becoming fun alternatives for the typical 5-star rating system within the community reviews sphere.
