ProfileBuilder, the tool that lets you create a "portable profile" to be placed across the web, has officially launched its public beta of Profil.es today. You may remember ProfileBuilder from our initial review earlier this summer. I got a chance to check it out again, and there appear to be some minor changes throughout the site, such as Flickr importing options for streaming your photos, and Twitter updates to be displayed on your profile.
But the main point of its newest product Profil.es is the ability to manage your channels, meaning you can pick and choose what items are displayed on your ProfileBuilder "portable profile" depending on where you place it. This means that your photos from the wild party last weekend won't show on the profile you've added to your freelancing website. Some features I wouldn't mind seeing would involve one-click profileposting options for popular networks like MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, and the rest.
