Scribd, the "YouTube for documents", is trying to ride the back-to-school wave with a useful little Facebook app for sharing homework, notes, papers, and more. Both students and teachers can upload their documents to the "Share Homework" app and start sharing immediately. If the idea sounds familiar, it's because it was originally launched under the name "Facebook Docs"; this is essentially a rebrand.
With most students spending a great deal of time on Facebook, and with their familiarity with Facebook apps, this should prove perfect for finding help with that last minute paper. What professors think of it is another matter.
