Apple is closing in on details regarding the launch of the iPhone in Europe. You may remember (or have probably marked your calendar) that Apple's initial plans have always been to launch the iPhone in Europe this month.

Many expect the iPhones sales for the UK to go through Telefonica's O2 UK unit, while Germany may see sales through Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile network, and France could get their iPhone's through Orange. These details are unconfirmed by Apple, and a formal announcement will be made by the end of September. Also expected as a fruitful byproduct of these exclusive deals for Apple is a share of data revenues and voice revenues generated by Europe iPhones.

The company reached 1 million iPhones sold earlier this week. Hopefully that milestone, coupled with the impending European sales will better reverse the trends of falling stock prices Apple experienced as a result of the price cut the iPhone underwent last week.
