MPAA Sues Two Video Sites

The MPAA has filed a lawsuit against two web sites that it claims are distributing pirated films. Cinematube.net and SSUpload are the two sites named, and a quick look at both reveals a plethora of recent movies, including Transformers and the latest Harry Potter film.

Both sites are fairly well trafficked, with Cinematube attracting 24,000 visitors per day, and SSUpload receiving more than 55,000.

The suit marks yet another attempt by the MPAA to stop pirated content, with another recent example being the successful blocking of searches on TorrentSpy in the US.
