Trillian Astra, a multi-protocol instant messaging client from Cerulean Studios, now allows its alpha testers to spice up their profile with links to their accounts on different web services including Bebo, Facebook, Flickr, and MySpace. These web services are part of its latest build implemented over the weekend.

As a tool for accessing multiple IM clients, adding options for its users to integrate popular web services is a welcome addition, and differentiates the service a bit from competitors such as web-based IM provider Meebo, as well as the many other startups that are looking to aggregate your social networking profiles.

While it's a nice addition, for everyone to enjoy the new features Trillian Astra, it has to get out of its private alpha stage first. You may want to try your luck by signing up.
