In the latest its latest move to censor the Internet, China has apparently blocked RSS feeds originating from FeedBurner. According to reports, China is also blocking URLs that contain “feeds,” “rss,” and “blog.” Previously, web-based RSS readers had been a way for Chinese Internet users to get around the blocks that the country puts on many web sites.
Censorship has unfortunately been a common theme abroad this year, with the UAE and Iran recently blocking Facebook, and China blocking LiveJournal and Skype.
