The Washington Post's online sector will be hosting a series of online discussions between readers and presidential candidates. These live discussions, each of which will be an hour in length, will feature individual Republican and Democratic presidential candidates.

First up is Sam Brownback, who will be available for discussion online this Wednesday at 11:00 am EST. Readers can submit questions before the event, and during the event as well. Candidates will be able to respond to the questions, which are selected by Washington Post moderators, and discuss the pertinent issues. Other candidates that have been confirmed so far include Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Mike Gravei and Denis Kucinich. More candidates will be added as confirmations come in. See the current schedule here.

The Washington Post is obviously vested in participating in the online presentation of presidential debates and discussions. Its own correspondents moderated the debates held on MySpace in conjunction with MTV. Another print publication, The Economist, is holding reader discussions as well, for various topics starting with education and technology.
