Social network Hi5 has rolled out a revamped version of a very Facebook-esque feature called “Friend Updates.” Much like the Facebook News Feed, it updates you on the activities of your friends, such as new additions to their networks, updates to their profile, or new photos.

The Facebook News Feed is quickly becoming one of the most widely emulated features on the Web, with the new Digg social network featuring a “Friend’s Activity” view, and Zooomr releasing a similar feature earlier today. It seems like years ago that Facebook users were wildly protesting the feature, to the point the company had to change the feature and apologize to users. Alas, it was only last September.

Meanwhile, over the last several months we've learned that Hi5, Bebo, and MySpace are all working on their own Facebook-like platforms. As if it wasn’t already obvious, Facebook clearly continues to set the agenda for the top social networking sites.
