Userplane, the free platform for building online communities, has announced Userplane Feeds today at the Web 2.0 Summit. This is a collection of free APIs for developers and publishers for use with their own applications and content on their websites. These are ad-supported solutions, using the same model as Userplane's tools, and can be integrated with Userplane Money in order to help you earn revenue.

So far it looks like all of these APIs will be from Userplane's parent company AOL, and this program will act as a distribution platform for AOL products and subsidiaries. The first featured feed is from AOL's Truveo video search, which lets you add the video search tools to your own website. As Truveo indexes video content from across the web (MySpace, YouTube, etc.), you get to offer your end users a broader video search option. AOL also gets to promote the Truveo service.
