Dailymotion has signed on Ina, a digitized image bank, to use Ina's Signature technology for its protection of copyrighted video content. Ina will be implemented across all localized Dailymotion sites, and in all 14 languages currently available. Copyrighted material will be recognized by Ina's Signature system, and automatically rejected from being uploaded.

As Dailymotion is one of the larger video-sharing networks that has faced lawsuits and even lost a court battle in recent months, it's quite necessary for Dailymotion, which has recently been infused with $34 million, to take more measures towards protecting content creators. As Dailymotion already had Audible Magic on board for digital fingerprinting, we're curious if Ina will be supporting or replacing much of Dailymotion's existing service. YouTube has recently taken the plunge as well, launching its fingerprinting technology to detect copyrighted material after months of anticipation from major networks and studios.
