Share Bookmarks Between Your PC And Mobile With Opera

When pretty much no one cared about mobile web browsing, Opera saw an opportunity and built their Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers for mobile devices, superior alternatives to most built-in web browsers you can find in mobiles.

Now, they're upping the ante with another slick feature called Opera Link, which offers a common set of bookmarks for your desktop PC running Opera and a mobile device running Opera Mini.

Anyone who's been serious about mobile web browsing knows that typing in addresses on your mobile is a ten times more dreary experience than on your desktop, and a set of bookmarks is essential. With this feature, Opera users will be able to seamlessly connect the two sets of bookmarks into one. As a proud owner of a Sony Ericsson P1i, and a huge fan of Foxmarks, the Firefox extension that lets you have a common set of bookmarks over several desktop PCs, I must admit that this is a great move by Opera, and a one that might make me fully convert from Firefox.

And, if you're wondering where Firefox is in all this, their recent announcement about committing to a mobile Firefox counterpart was good news, but the actual product is still far off.
