According to a leaked advertisement out of Canada, Rogers cable/ISP/wireless company will begin taking pre-orders fo rthe iPhone on November 20th, with a release date of December 7th.

The advertisement looks fairly final, and lists a price of $499 Canadian ($519 US by the current rate) for what is assumed to be the 8GB model. The interesting aspect is the requirement of a 3-year contract. I have no clue if that is the normal contract length in Canada, but it is one year longer than AT&T is requiring in the USA.

There had been rumors the phone would be delayed in Canada due to a trademark dispute with Comwave Technologies over their VoIP service named "iPhone", but there has been no news of a settlement.  Either it has "gone away, Apple is moving ahead, or this is a fake.  We'll know come November 20th.
