20+ Awesome Shows To Watch On Hulu

If you're wondering if there will be anything worth watching on Hulu once you score an invite, we've gathered together 20+ things that should be worth your time. And yeah, some of this stuff is actually (gasp!) good!

Classic Shows

Arrested Development - The entire first season is here. I normally keep my personal opinion out of the toolboxes, but, this is quite possibly one of the funniest shows to ever air on television. Follow the Bluth family as they prove there is no love like that of a family... who is constantly out for no one but themselves.

Battlestar Galactica (classic) - Check out where Battlestar Galactica started, and see how it turned in to the award-winning show it is today. Count how many times the girl with the funky pigtails says "Vipers, launch when ready." You can catch the entire series (all one season of it) on Hulu. (If you're a fan of the old school Galactica, forget you just read that, and enjoy the bestest show ever. Ed.)

Buffy, The Vampire Slayer - Check out the first season of this cult favorite show that was not only about vampires, but also about the challenges life presents to everyone growing up. Sometimes, the demonic bad person was the easy fight.

Doogie Hoswer, M.D. - Before Neil Patrick Harris went on to be Barney on How I Met Your Mother, he was Doogie Howser, M.D.. If you've never experienced this teenager-is-a-doctor-series...well, you aren't missing much, but it's good for an unintentional laugh.

Hill Street Blues - The first season of this hit police drama by Steven Bochco, who later went on to create NYPD Blue. Sadly, there is no sign of his other "hit" cop series, Cop Rock.

Kitchen Confidential - Based on the book of the same name by world-class chef Anthony Bourdain, the sitcom of his semi-fictionalized life only lasted 4 episodes before Fox canceled it. There were 9 un-aired episodes at the time, and you can find all 13 of them on Hulu.

Night Gallery - Hulu only has five episodes so far of the lsser known of Rod Serling's second horror-inspired series'. If you've only seen The Twilight Zone, do yourself of the favor of checking his darker, more cerebral, follow-up.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show - A ground breaking show in the 1970's, and possibly the only TV show to ever have three spin-offs (Lou Grant, Rhoda, and Phyllis).

WKRP in Cincinnati - Hulu has the complete first season of this hit sitcom for you to watch. Some of the music has been changed, but things like Dr. Fever screaming "BOOGER!" are there to make you laugh all over again.

On Air Shows

24 - I would say you can watch the complete first season, but for some odd reason they only have 23 of the 24 episodes up, and the fourth hour of season 6. Hope this will get fixed soon.

30 Rock - The hit show from Tina Fey, and produced by Lorne Michaels of Saturday Night Live.

Back To You - Currently airing on the Fox network, this is the first sitcom for Kelsey Grammer since he ended 11 successful seasons as Frasier. Set in a Seattle TV affiliate, Grammer plays the anchorman who had made a mistake on the air and now he's going back to his roots.

Battlestar Galactica - Only the last half of season 3 is currently on the site, but is enough to get you up to speed before the made-for-TV-movie, Razor, premieres next month, and season 4 in April of 2008.

Heroes - Catch up on any of the episodes of season two that you may have missed so far.

Kitchen Nightmares - World-class chef Gordon Ramsay goes to restaurants that are struggling, and assists them in trying to turn themselves around. Ramsay is a larger than life personality, and is on the verge of becoming a household name in the US.

Saturday Night Live - While there are no full episodes, there are 160 clips of some of their most recent hit skits.

The Office - While people will argue endlessly if the UK or USA version is superior, the only one you will find here is the American version.

Movies

Conan The Barbarian - Before he became the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger had a successful movie career. This was one of his earliest hits, and probably the one with the biggest cult following still.

The Blues Brothers - This movie was one of the first signs that Saturday Night Live was going to be more of a cultural phenomenon than just some show that aired late at night on the weekends.

The Jerk - A Steve Martin movie from the late 1970's when he was at the peak of his popularity.
