Internet advertising marketplace AdBrite has announced a new ad program, tailored to the needs of Facebook application developers, who can now use a new web-based interface to join AdBrite's ad inventory.
AdBrite co-founder Philip Kaplan claims that the demand from the Facebook application developers was already there, and that it was a logical move for the company. Popular Facebook applications like iLike, Zombies and Pirates already display AdBrite ads.
While the rights to display ads on Facebook itself are held by Microsoft, Facebook third party apps are there for the taking. the Facebook platform has been a huge success, and Facebook applications are already cashing in serious money for developers around the world, so AdBrite has done well to jump on the bandwagon before the competition does.
